About Us

The Essex Partnership was formed in 2005 as a strategic energy and environmental planning consultancy.  Our focus is on helping project owners and investors capitalize on emerging opportunities while maintaining high standards of environmental stewardship and social responsibility.

We specialize in technical development, regulatory planning, and decision making support for new and existing energy and environmental assets with expertise in:

  • Feasibility Studies: Optimization, Repowering and Restoration
  • Acquisitions and Divestitures
  • Interconnection Studies and Agreements
  • Facilitation, Regulatory Planning and Permitting
  • Ecological Restoration Planning and Design
  • Strategic Planning and Project Development

Regardless of the asset or risk profile, our goal is to help our clients successfully achieve their investment objectives.  Being a small business, we pride ourselves on providing highly responsive, personalized service that is focused squarely on our clients’ success.

In many cases we serve as “adjunct staff” working side by side with our client’s staff on project-specific tasks, avoiding typical costs and delays associated with finding, acquiring and training employees.
